Self-Assessment Tool

This self-assessment tool has been developed within the framework of the G‑STEAM project, a European initiative that aims to strengthen gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education. The project focuses on supporting educators and teacher trainers in integrating gender awareness and intersectionality into their teaching practices and learning environments

The purpose of this self-assessment is to help educators, teacher trainers, and institutions reflect on their current practices related to gender inclusion in STEAM education. By responding to a series of questions, users can identify strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities for further development in their pedagogical approaches, learning materials, and institutional culture.

The tool is designed as a reflective instrument rather than an evaluation mechanism. It encourages critical thinking about how teaching practices, learning environments, and educational structures may influence participation, engagement, and success in STEAM for diverse groups of learners. The results can support users in identifying concrete actions and professional development needs, contributing to more inclusive, equitable, and gender-sensitive STEAM education.
